Mystique’s mutant heritage is discovered, and she is cast from the Vertgio family. She abandons the child amongst the gypsies. He is taken in by the Szardos family. She heads to America to begin anew.
The Dire Wraiths land outside of Evergreen City, Wyoming. Soon after, Rom: Spaceknight and his companion Starshine land on Earth. |

Birth of Li'lian (daughter of Marina of the Champions and Akaris of Lemuria) Dr. Joshua is murdered. His son, an up-and-coming scientist, finds his notes on the super-soldier serum and sells them back to the American Government secretly, making himself rather wealthy, while still holding onto a copy for himself. A group of outcasts from society resolve to live underground and
away from the people who shun them. A young woman changes her name to
Callisto and dubs her new family the Morlocks.

SHIELD’s Supernatural Investigations folds after the entire team is pulled into the Darkhold, and only agent Katherine Reynolds returns alive. Her mind is shattered, and she is placed in a mental institution.

State Building, set by Jihad of Quarac. John Walker joins SHIELD after

Captain America and Batman team up to stop the Flag Smasher. Chuck Barnes' parents die, and he becomes Robin. Professor Charles Francis Xavier forms the New Mutants, a trainie group to eventually become new X-Men. The first roster: Cannonball, Mirage, Feral, Sunspot and Magik. In responce to the New Mutants, Emma Frost of the Hellfire Club creates the Hellions, another group of young mutants. The first roster: Christopher Bedlam, Firestar, Thunderbird, Roulette and Magma. Dr. Joshua's son, Albert Joshua, using money gained by selling a copy of his father's notes on the super soldier serum, attempts an improvement on the substance. Using the latest technologies available, he uses the extracted sperm and egg of two very important characters and creates a human being. The embryo is doused in the serum and aged to become a sixteen-year-old...permanently. He is dubbed 'The Kon-El Project'. |

[Spider-Man #4-5] Batman and Spider-Man team up against the Sinister Six. [Batman #6, Spider-Man #6] The Shadow III teams up with Spider-Man [Spider-Man #8-9, The Shadow 2000 #1-2, Detective Comics #4] The Green Goblin makes his debut against Spider-Man. [Spider-Man #12] Captain America investigates the mysterious and sudden deaths of various Golden Age heroes. Young Justice and the X-Men enter the tunnels separately, doing damage control. Scores of mutants and Morlocks die. [eight part crossover] Norman Osborn begins investigating members of the Daily Planet staff. Alison Mongrain, the Ice Queen, trails Peter Parker and Jimmy Olsen. [Spider-Man #21] Norman Osborn and Lex Luthor finally make their move to take the Daily Planet. Electro trails Lois, and then puts her into a coma. Jameson asks Jimmy Olsen to unmask Spider-Man. The Daily Planet gets a new owner. [Spider-Man #22-25] Emerald Quest - J'Onn J'Onzz finally learns the meaning of his visions. He asks the Avengers League and other heroes to help him find the Emerald that is so sacred to Martians. However, Z'Onn Z'Orr is freed from his prison. Hawkeye is injured and leaves the League.
